Mates Fund acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we live, work, gather and dream.
We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and recognise the continuing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country, culture, waters, knowledge and community.
We acknowledge the Gai-mariagal/Guringai, Gadigal, Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Yugambeh peoples, and extend that respect to the local custodians, leaders and communities in the places where Mates works.
We understand that respect is not only spoken. It must be practised through listening, relationship, humility and action.
